Hello and Welcome to Perspectives on Payments

This blog was started by René Pelegero, President and Managing Director of RPGC Group LLC, as a way to discuss the Payments Industry from a global view. The goal is to share information and open up a dialogue on the payments issues facing companies today. René will also give his unique perspective on the Payments conferences he attends throughout the year—topics being discussed, industry buzz, and feedback from his speaking engagements.

René has been a leading payments expert for the last twelve years. In addition to founding RPGC, René has worked for PayPal as Senior Director, Strategy and Financial Industry Relations and as the head of Global Payments for Amazon.com. Prior to joining Amazon.com, René was already a seasoned payments professional, holding positions at Electronic Payment Services, Inc., a leading electronic funds transfer (EFT) processor; GE Capital, an international consumer lending group; and Tandem Computers, a hardware manufacturer of fault-tolerant systems heavily used by the payments industry worldwide.
